Electric Boost Controller (Failsafe Feature!)

Product Information

A boost controller allows you to increase your boost, giving you significantly more power.  This is a bleed type boost controller.  It is placed inline with the boost line that runs to your waste gate actuater (WGA).  A waste gate controls the amount of boost you hold.  As the pressure increases to the WGA, it will open the waste gate, allowing pressure to release, which lowers your boost level (or stops it from increasing).  What this Electronic Boost Controller (EBC) does is bleed off the pressure, thereby lowering the pressure to the WGA, which keeps the waste gate closed longer, allowing you to have much more boost. 

What separates this controller from all of the rest?

  1. A manual boost controller can accomplish the same task, but you suffer from part throttle boost, sometimes being severe.  Part throttle boost is when you only go 1/4 throttle, but you will suddenly jump to full boost.  This is not only annoying, but leads to everyday drivability issues.  Since our EBC is only activated manually, or through the Nozzle Pressure Sensor (see #3 below), your car will drive like stock.  You decide when you want the extra boost!
  2. Other EBC's of this type can cost hundreds of dollars.  There is no need for this, as it is a very simple component.  TurboXS sells an almost identical item for over $200!
  3. Other EBC's require you to manually activate them by flipping a switch, or holding a button, when ever you want the increased boost.  Ours can work like this as well, but we have researched and designed our EBC to work in conjunction with our Nozzle Pressure Sensor.  The Nozzle Pressure Sensor (NPS) is placed between the pump and the injector(s).  When the NPS is used with our EBC, it will control the EBC automatically.  This way, the only way the EBC will ever be activated is when your water/methanol injector(s) see pressure.  No pressure, no extra boost.  When your injection system activates, it will activate the EBC, instantly increasing you from stock boost levels to your new increased levels.  If your injection system fails, for any reason, the EBC will not activate, and your boost levels will remain at stock levels.  Even if during a run, after everything has been working correctly, and then your injection system fails, as soon as your water/methanol injectors lose pressure, your boost level will instantly go back to stock levels.  Our EBC is the ultimate failsafe.

The EBC will allow you to produce as much boost as your turbo is capable of.  With this in mind, you need to be careful, as you would anytime you would be manipulating airflow.  A boost gauge is required, so you know how much boost you are increasing to.  Engine Runup will not be responsible for ANY damage caused by the user increasing their boost.

The EBC comes with what is pictured.  You will need your own parts to splice into your current WGA line.  These parts include a simple 'T' and some tubing, all of which is only a few dollars at your local auto parts store. 

You are given the option below to purchase just the EBC, or to purchase the EBC and the Nozzle Pressure Sensor.  The NPS comes with the sensor, a small light, and a 'T' that has (2) 1/8" female threads.  The fittings for these threads are not included, unless you specify that in your choice below.  If you choose the option with the fittings, the fittings included will be for our 1/4" OD Polyethelyne Tubing, so if you already have any of our kits, this will hook in line, literally plug and play.
