Shurflo Pumps

While all of the Shurflo pumps Engine Runup uses are chemically alcohol (methanol) safe (seals, etc.) they are not to be used with a flammable liquid.  The pump components are 100% methanol compliant.  Pumps used with alcohols other than methanol will cause premature failure, and is not covered under any warranty.  It is easy to tell when other alcohols are used, so please don't try.  The pumps are run by an electric motor, and even though all sparks are contained within the housing, Engine Runup and Shurflo will not be held responsible or liable for any mishap whenever a flammable mixture is used.  While alcohol itself is flammable, when used as a 50/50 mix with water, it is no longer a flammable liquid.  Therefore, a mixture of 50% or less of alcohol to water is recommended for all of our kits and pumps.

Limited Warranty

LIMITED WARRANTY.    Engine Runup warrants that its products will perform in accordance with the accompanying written materials for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of receipt and (b) that the products sold will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of one (1) year. In the event applicable law imposes any implied warranties, the implied warranty period is limited to ninety (90) days from the date of receipt. Some jurisdictions do not allow such limitations on duration of an implied warranty, so the above limitation may not apply to you.  In the event a return is made, the customer is responsible for shipping, in both directions.  If the return is for any of the Vari-Cool Controllers, a $30 diagnosis fee will be charged.  If the unit is found to perform correctly, the same unit will be returned.  If a defect is found, then it will be replaced with a fully and correctly functioning controller.

CUSTOMER REMEDIES. Engine Runup ’s and its suppliers’ entire liability and your exclusive remedy shall be, at the Company’s option, either (a) return of the price paid for the part(s) or kit(s), or (b) repair or replacement of the part(s) or kit(s) that does not meet this Limited Warranty and which is returned to the Company with a copy of your receipt. This Limited Warranty is void if failure of the part(s) or kit(s) has resulted from accident, abuse, misapplication, or damage caused by shipping.  Any replacement part(s) or kit(s) will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or thirty (30) days, whichever is longer.

No Other Warranties:  To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Engine Runup and its suppliers disclaim all other warranties, either expressed or implied, including, but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, with regard to the part(s) or kit(s) and any related or accompanying written materials.  This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights.  You may have other rights which vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

No Liability For Damages:  To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Engine Runup or its suppliers be liable for any damages whatsoever (including without limitation, special incidental, consequential, or indirect damages for personal injury, loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of business information, or any other pecuniary loss) arising out of the use of or inability to use this product, even if the company has been advised of the possibility of such damages.  In any case, Engine Runup ’s and its suppliers’ entire liability under any provision of this agreement shall be limited to the amount actually paid by you for the part(s) or kit(s).  Because some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, the above limitation may not apply to you.
